I’ve been driving a few BMWs for a few years now, and I think the turn signals work better and make more sense than alomost all the cars I’ve driven. I use them all the time. Even turning in to parking spaces.
I also didn’t hate on iDrive.
(edit: all my photos of my cars)
It’s 2020. Life shouldn’t be difficult. It should be beutiful, functional, and enjoyable.
I also love What BMW did with the i3's TPMS.
If that car isn’t throwing a warning on the right rear, I dunno what should.

Right rear should be the one throwing a warning if you ask me. Staggered BMWs tend to have really high rear pressures (not sure about the i3, though ).
Anyway, I didn’t really have a problem with Bangle era BMW turn signals, but my new X3 has a regular stalk, as did my E46 I think. So

I like iDrive. Even after a year of owning a F10, the turn signals still sometimes get the best of me. I thought I hit it hard enough to stay on...nope, only part of the way...damn now I’m signaling to the other side...crap hit it too hard. There just seems to be exactly the wrong amount of tension - needs more or less to work better.

In a bit of a twist, the only person I know who currently drives a BMW doesn’t seem to use his signal lights very often...

The stalks are too sensitive for the returning to center function to work imo, did about 15k in 8 months and mistakes were still semi-regular.

I agree with you 100%. I love the BMW turn signals. I was actually sad when I got a loaner G20 330i and found the indicator stalk functions like a regular turn signal now. It does still have the tap for 3 flashes but it’s not the same.

I just find the self cancel a bit too twitchy, I have this strip of road where it slightly bends left for a light where I need to change lane into and turn left, it already cancels the signal when I slightly straighten the wheel. My Sol with a regular GM turn signal doesn't cancel at the same place.
